I. Process Introduction: 

Refine and make pretreatment for brucite ore, then produce magnesium hydroxide fire retardant through coarse crushing, fine crushing, pulping, super-fine pulverizing, modification, dehydrating, drying, grading and packaging. The production process does not have pollution. Product quality is in conformity with HG/t3607-2000I standard.

II. Technical Advancement: 

Magnesium yield is above 98%. Product quality is in conformity with HG/t3607-2000I standard and flame-retardant grade standard required by user. It has low production cost and significant benefits.

III. Market Prospect: 

The present world has increasingly high requirements for environmental protection, environment-friendly magnesium hydroxide fire retardant is emphasized by all countries. Developed countries have successively made huge investment in research and development and frequently developed international cooperation. Magnesium hydroxide fire retardant has been widely applied in various plastic products, in particular, high performance magnesium hydroxide fire retardant for wire and cable is even popular among consumers. With rapid development of Chinese high molecular industry and constant perfection and improvement of flame-retardant regulations, the demand for fire retardant has increased accordingly. As non-toxic, smoke-restraining environmental protection inorganic fire retardant, magnesium hydroxide is in very urgent need.

Production of 1t magnesium hydroxide requires brucite ore 1.11t; modified aid 25kg; coal 130kg; electricity 450kw·h; and water 14m3. The production cost is within 1,250-2,600 Yuan/t. 

Market price of the product is 3,750-9,000 Yuan/t.

V. Equipment Investment: According to annual production of 10,000t, equipment investment is about 2.4 million Yuan.
