Double Decomposition Method

I. Product Introduction: 

Zinc stearate has molecular formula C36H70O4Zn, and molecular weight 632.33. It is white and fine powder, which will be decomposed when meeting strong acid. It has relative density 1.095, melting point 130℃, easy absorption of moisture, having special smell, combustible, insoluble in water or ethanol, but soluble in hot ordinary solvent and acid. It will become jelly after being heated and dissolved in organic solvent and cooled.

II. Production Principle: 

First produce sodium stearate, then react with sulfuric acid zinc, then produce zinc stearate product through rinsing, dehydrating and drying.

III. Product Purpose: 

Zinc stearate is PVC heat stabilization agent, which has small coloring property and good weather resistance in initial stage. It is mainly used in soft products, and non-toxic products with the assistance of calcium soap; and coordinated with barium soap to be used in vulcanization-resisting polluted products; and can be used as good lubricant of PVC, ABS and SAN resin, antistick agent of transparent products, lubricant, antistick agent and separant of phenolic aldehyde, amino and other thermosetting plastic, polyester reinforced plastics and rubber glue; and glazing agent of textile, flatting agent of paint and mixed material of cosmetics.

Production of 1t zinc stearate requires: stearic acid 897kg; sodium hydroxide 151kg; and sulfuric acid zinc 498kg.

Direct Method

I. Product Introduction:
