    The new technology of serpentine utilization in our institue successfully passed the provincial scientific and technological achievements appraisal. On November 20, 2013, Henan Science and Technology Department organized experts to our institute has carried on the achievements appraisal,especially in the range of serpentine or magnesium olivine, asbestos tailings, laterite nickel ore production of high dispersion silica tires, batteries grade or highpurity iron, ferrous oxalate, nickel and cobalt concentrate, high purity magnesium hydroxide flame retardant technology for the new achievements. After a rigorous review of materials and live reply, the experts gave a high evaluation of the process, and passed the scientific and technological achievements. Expert opinion is as follows:
    First, the technical material of the project submitted are complete,intact and comply with the requirements of scientific and technological achievements appraisal.
    Second, the project by hydrometallurgy method taking sulfuric acid as dispersants to decomposition of serpentine, oxidation precipitation, such as alkaline cleaning method is applied to the preparation the battery level of ferrous oxalate and high purity ferric oxide, flame retardant magnesium hydroxide and nickel and cobalt concentrate;Residues in acid solution preparation of high value-added, high dispersion white carbon black, this project has realized the serpentine comprehensive utilization of resources, environment, economy and social benefit is remarkable,with broad prospects for application.
    Third, the project research of hauling high comprehensive utilization;In serpentine acidolysis residue as raw material to prepare high dispersion white carbon black, acid solution after heavy iron liquid mixture preparation of nickel, cobalt, magnesium sulfate - ammonia in the preparation of hydroxide sulfate index of control and so on the technical approach of new technology has larger breakthrough;Three wastes recycling is realized.
    In summary, the project in the comprehensive utilization process of serpentine resources, has reached the leading domestic level.
